What's new in Pulado: November 2026

November 2026 brings big updates to Pulado! Experience classic paddle game mechanics, clearer UI, and improved visual fidelity for your AI-generated arcade game

November has arrived, bringing a fresh wave of updates to Pulado! We've been busy behind the scenes, focusing on bringing even more classic arcade authenticity and visual polish to the games you create. Get ready for a smoother, more predictable, and visually stunning experience across the board.

Classic Paddle Games Feel Just Right

We've heard your feedback and made significant strides in refining the core mechanics of paddle-and-ball games, like Breakout. Now, creating or playing these games will feel much more like the arcade originals:

  • Authentic Life System: Losing your ball now correctly costs a life, and the game concludes once your last life is gone, just like the arcade classics.
  • Persistent Progress: When you lose a life, you'll now continue your game on the same level with enemies and blocks remaining exactly as they were. No more restarting the entire level from scratch, preserving your hard-earned progress.
  • Refined Ball Behavior: The ball now behaves precisely as you'd expect in a classic Breakout game. It will correctly pass through specific block types, register hits on every block it touches, and award points for every enemy destroyed. Plus, you'll get a brief moment of grace after spawning, and grid-based levels will offer a more consistent challenge without unexpected difficulty ramps.

Enhanced Visuals and Layout

Your games will look better and play more reliably thanks to these visual and layout improvements:

  • Reliable Grid Layouts: Games featuring grid-based enemies (think Breakout bricks, Space Invaders, or Centipede segments) that are defined by intricate pictures will now display correctly from the start. No more unexpected game-ending glitches due to complex visual enemy definitions!
  • Accurate Flash Art Masks: For games using art imported from Flash, masks will now render perfectly, using their outline transparency as intended. This means backgrounds and menus, like those found in games such as "Graviton X" or "2D Car Game," will display with full visual fidelity.

Clearer Race UI

For racing games, we've streamlined the display to make your progress even easier to track:

  • Single Distance Bar: Finish-line races will now show a single, clear distance bar, removing the previous overlapping of progress and finish bars for a cleaner, more intuitive display.

We're constantly working to make Pulado the best platform for bringing your arcade game ideas to life. Dive in and experience these improvements firsthand!
